Bud Graessle
Senior Vice President, ILFS Financial Performance
With an insightfulness developed during his career in accounting and finance, Bud Graessle leads the finance, actuarial, underwriting and long-term care teams of Individual Life and Financial Services (ILFS) at OneAmerica Financial®.
In his role, Graessle provides financial leadership for the line of business, overseeing all aspects of financial performance, including financial planning, budgeting, product pricing and risk management. Graessle also plays an integral role in the development of strategic planning and leading large transformational initiatives for the line of business.
Graessle has held various financial leadership roles since joining the companies of OneAmerica Financial in 2015 as assistant vice president, financial planning and analysis. Since then, he earned promotion to vice president, controller and senior accounting officer and then to vice president, treasurer, overseeing the OneAmerica Financial treasury and financial planning and analysis teams. In late 2021, Graessle earned another promotion to vice president, financial performance, ILFS.
Prior to joining the companies of OneAmerica Financial, Graessle spent nine years in the audit practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Indianapolis. As a senior manager, he served and advised public and private investment management and insurance company clients in the life, health, and property and casualty sectors.
A licensed Certified Public Accountant in Indiana, Graessle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society. He earned his master’s in accounting from the Miller College of Business at Ball State University and now serves on the school’s Young Alumni Accounting Advisory Board. He has served on the board of directors and finance committee for Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana since 2017 and held the board treasurer role from 2019-2023. In 2021, Graessle received the top honor of Indy’s Best and Brightest in the Accounting category, as given by Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, which recognizes young professionals under the age of 40 in Indianapolis.
