What should an intern bring on their first day? A tumbler. It seems like a small thing, but there are fountain-drink stations on so many different floors.

Describe OneAmerica culture in one word: Evolving. The company is changing quickly, and we are evolving to meet those changes.

Best piece of advice you were given during your internship? Make mistakes. Learn from them and then move forward.

A skill you acquired or grew during your internship: Working in an agile environment and being part of a scrum.

If your department was a TV show, movie or song, what would it be and why? The Office is one of my favorite shows. It has an emotional connection with me, and I developed emotional connection with my team. We had fun and pranks, and we got work done. That last part is different from the TV show.

What tip would you give to those interviewing for internships next summer? Be open to learning. Don’t let your past knowledge be a hinderance.
