More than half of Americans – 55 percent – mistakenly believe health insurance or Medicare will pay for assistance with daily living due to illness or injury for an extended period of time. Just 34 percent have disability insurance, according to recent OneAmerica poll

When asked if they have health, auto or home insurance, 80 percent of Americans say they have at least two types, but only a third of employed Americans (34 percent) reported they have disability coverage provided by their employer, according to a new survey conducted online by Harris Poll on behalf of OneAmerica®.
