Sixth Annual ASPIRE Awards Honor Ten OneAmerica® Employees

Indianapolis, February 21, 2020

Ten employees have been recognized by OneAmerica® as ASPIRE honorees as a result of their outstanding performance on behalf of the life insurance, retirement and employee benefits organization.

The employees were honored at the company’s sixth annual ASPIRE awards banquet on Feb. 19. The ASPIRE principles — Achievement, Stewardship, Partnership, Integrity, Responsiveness and Excellence — guide more than 2,200 OneAmerica associates in all work endeavors. This year, 203 individuals were nominated by peers, supervisors, or project partners for the annual honor.

“At the highest level, ASPIRE winners represent the culture of personal relationships and service that sets OneAmerica apart,” said Scott Davison, chairman, president and CEO of OneAmerica. “They demonstrate what it looks like when empowered, accountable people work together to do the right thing for our customers, distribution partners and colleagues.”

“Our honorees build mutual trust through repeated great performance, and they’re helping create systematic ways to ensure that more of us can achieve at their level,” Davison added.

Honorees include:

Rhonda Way, senior sales support, Employee Benefits, was presented with the ASPIRE Distinguished Achievement honor. The 22-year veteran, who is based in Dallas, Texas, was recognized for consistently executing with excellence for clients, brokers and potential sales recruits. Her dedication, responsiveness and willingness to take the lead on challenging assignments have earned her widespread trust and admiration.

The ASPIRE Excellence in Execution honorees are: Chris Corbett, director of Visual Product Modeling System (VPMS), Individual Life and Financial Services; Kim Thomas, vice president, human resources business partners, associate relations and corporate security; and Norma Amaize, process improvement consultant, Employee Benefits.

The ASPIRE Excellence in Partnership honorees are: Crystal Moles, senior transition manager, Retirement Services; and John Daft, Appleton, Wisconsin-based senior retirement plan manager, Retirement Services.

The ASPIRE Outstanding Team Impact honorees are: Amy Krysa, creative design manager, Enterprise Marketing and Communications; and John Hudock, senior business analyst, IT, Employee Benefits.

The ASPIRE Outstanding Leadership honorees are Brenda Barnes, manager, new business, Individual Life and Financial Services; and Erin Garrett, vice president of treasury and finance shared services.

The ASPIRE Awards program was created in 2014 as a way to spotlight OneAmerica associates who — day in and day out — serve customers and financial professionals.
